We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Experts at Hand Coordinator to join our innovative new Experts at Hand service. This exciting role will play a key part in supporting the delivery of a pioneering multi-agency approach designed to help children and young people receive the right support at the right time within mainstream educational settings.

Experts at Hand is a jointly delivered and partnership-led initiative involving Devon County Council, health partners, education providers and community organisations. The service focuses on providing earlier, coordinated support for children and families, reducing reliance on statutory processes and strengthening inclusion across Devon's schools and settings.

About the Role

As an Experts at Hand Coordinator, you will work closely with the Locality Manager and a wide range of partner organisations to support the development and implementation of the Experts at Hand Pilot within your learning community.

You will act as a key point of contact for schools, settings and partner agencies, helping them access specialist support, share expertise and develop collaborative solutions for children, young people and families.

The role combines relationship building, coordination, analysis and quality assurance, ensuring that services work effectively together to deliver positive outcomes. You will help identify needs, support the triaging of requests, analyse local data, contribute to service evaluation and ensure the voice of families remains central to service development.

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

• Significant experience working with children, young people and families, or within educational settings and services.
• Experience of multi-agency or multidisciplinary working.
• Strong organisational, coordination and administrative skills.
• The ability to analyse information, identify needs and support evidence-based decision making.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with professionals, families and stakeholders.
• A sound understanding of safeguarding and early intervention approaches.
• A commitment to inclusion, partnership working and improving outcomes for children and young people.
• You will be resilient, adaptable and motivated by making a real difference within local communities.

What You'll Bring

• A relevant qualification in Education, Health, Social Care, Youth Work or a related field (Level 3 or equivalent minimum), or significant relevant experience.
• Experience coordinating support, interventions or services.
• Confidence using Microsoft Office and digital systems.
• A strong understanding of the needs of children, young people and families.
• The ability to work collaboratively across organisational boundaries.

A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are required for this role (reasonable adjustments will be considered in line with the Equality Act 2010). Occasional evening and weekend working may be required.
