    Job introduction

    Hill Park School is a three site (Primary/ Secondary) special school for pupils aged 4 - 16 years for pupils with needs ranging from moderate (MLD), severe (SLD), profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD). Some pupils also have a diagnosis of autistic spectrum condition (ASC), complex medical needs or physical disabilities.

    Hill Park have opened an Extended Day club for their pupils, based at the Primary site in Portslade, and are looking to employ Play Workers to work under the HPX Club Lead to care for and support pupils accessing play and leisure activities at the Club. The hours of work are 3.15pm - 5.45pm Tuesday, Wednesday /Thursday (applicants can work 1, 2 or 3 days a week).

    Paid weeks per year: 39 (inclusive of holiday entitlement)

    Fixed term: Until 31 August 2026

    Start date: A.S.A.P – Date to be agreed with successful applicant

    • The role may include providing personal care and if so full training will be provided.

    Interview date: Interviews to be held on club days between Wednesday 4th February 2026 to Wednesday 11th February 2026 from 2.30pm onwards & will include a trial shift at the club which may/may not be on the same day
