    Family Engagement Officer

    Location: St Marie’s Catholic Primary School, Kirkby

    Salary Range: Pay Band E / SCP 7-11

    £26,403 - £28,142 pro rata per annum / Actual Salary £23, 357 - £24,895 per annum

    Term Time only – 46 week per year salary paid monthly

    Contract/Hours: 7.45pm start 36 hours per week finish times vary but no earlier than 3.30pm

We are looking for a Family Engagement Officer to join our dedicated team and help strengthen the partnership between home and school, and raise attendance.

    The Governing Body of this successful, happy, and forward-thinking Catholic primary school wish to appoint a passionate Family Engagement Officer, who is dedicated to building strong relationships between school and our families. and passion to support children’s learning and wellbeing and help strengthen the partnership between home and school.

    The successful candidate will:

    About the Role:

    As our Family Engagement Officer, you will:

    • Work closely with families to identify and address barriers to learning and attendance.
    • Provide support, advice, and signposting to relevant services.
    • Build trusting relationships with parents and carers to encourage active involvement in school life.
    • Organise workshops, events, and initiatives that promote family engagement.
    • Collaborate with school staff and external agencies to support pupil wellbeing.
    • Supervise staff plan and lead on activities for development of the Breakfast club as the first daily point of engagement, encouraging good attendance

    We’re Looking For Someone Who:

    • Has experience working with children, families, or in a community support role
    • Is approachable, empathetic, and an excellent communicator
    • Can work lead a team in breakfast club and work independently and as part of a team
    • Understands safeguarding and confidentiality
    • Is committed to promoting equality, inclusion, and positive outcomes for all children

    • £26,403 - £28,142 per year
