    About the Role

    We have an exciting opportunity for you to be part of a family group workers team across all four children’s centres. You will work alongside Family Group Workers and professional partners.

    Who we are looking for

    A vibrant and enthusiastic L3 qualified childcare practitioner, to join our multi-skilled friendly teams.

    What will you do?

    You will be required to deliver high quality childcare within our creches, work 1-1 supporting parents experiencing difficulties and plan and deliver family sessions to parents/carers and children aged 0-5 years.

    Role Responsibilities:

    • Set up, plan and run groups/crèche for targeted families attending Parenting sessions
    • Provide safe and inclusive activities for young children aged 0-5 years and their families/carers to bond, play, develop and socialise within children’s centres
    • To signpost families in need to appropriate services either within the team or external partners
    • Offer 1-1 low level support to parents experiencing difficulties.
    • To understand and adhere to all relevant policies and procedures in relation to the Children’s Centre programme. This includes both building based and child specific (child protection) policies.

    Essential Qualifications:

    • A recognised qualification in childcare NVQ level 3 or equivalent
    • Essential knowledge, skills and experience:
    • Experience of working with children 0-5 years and their families
    • Experience of working with vulnerable children and families
    • To have knowledge of EYFS and child development and attachment and its application in activities and creche
