We are recruiting for a Family Partnership Officer to join our SEND IASS team as part of Family Information Advice and Support Service.

If you are passionate about supporting children and families with SEND to ensure best outcomes and have significant experience of working in this area and in depth knowledge of the law and guidance related to Special Educational Needs we would love to hear from you.

In this role, you will:

  • Support the work of SEND Information, Advice and Support Service (SENDIASS), providing impartial expert advice and information to all parents/carers of children with special educational needs (SEN) ensuring that parents' views are heard and understood.

  • Provide impartial expert advice on Education, Health and Social Care to young people aged 16 – 25 who have SEN and/or disabilities ensuring their views are heard and understood.

  • Support parents/carers and young people to understand and navigate Health Services

About You
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

  • Experience of working directly with parents and young people providing specialist expert advice and support

  • In depth knowledge of SEN Law and guidance and education system

  • Strong communication and collaborative skills, with the ability to work effectively in a diverse community.
