Hours per week: 22.5 hours per week (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday).
Start date: 2nd November 2026
Hill Park School is a three site (Primary/ Secondary) maintained special school for pupils aged 4 - 16 years for pupils with needs ranging from moderate (MLD), severe (SLD), profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD). Some pupils also have a diagnosis of autistic spectrum condition (ASC), complex medical needs or physical disabilities. We have students from Reception through to KS4.
We are looking to appoint a part-time Finance Assistant, working across three days, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday. The role will involve processing financial transactions, including raising purchase orders, processing invoices for payment and maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, providing administrative support to the Finance Administrator ensuring financial procedures are followed and records are maintained accurately. In addition, as and when required, the postholder will provide support to the School Office Administration Team, assisting with wider administrative duties to help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the school.
Whilst the role is primarily based at The Hive, our site in Lynchet Close, Hollingdean, the postholder may be required to work across any of the school's three sites to provide administrative support as required. Flexibility is therefore essential to ensure the effective operation of the administration team and the continued delivery of support services across the school.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good knowledge of a range of ICT packages, including Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365 email systems (desirable).

- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and use their own initiative.
- A flexible and adaptable approach, with a clear understanding of what makes an effective team member.
We take safeguarding and child protection seriously and all posts at Hill Park are subject to a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Certificate.
