We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Finance Business Partner to join our team. This pivotal role will support the Head of Finance, Finance Managers, and departmental teams by delivering high-quality, flexible, and professional financial support across service areas. You will play a key part in ensuring financial integrity and providing expert advice to senior stakeholders.
Key duties within this role will include:
- Provide robust, finance support to service departments, responding to changing priorities.
- Act as Finance Business Partner for the Housing service area, developing a detailed understanding of its operations and financial needs.
- Lead on accurate and timely reconciliations of housing rental income across financial systems.
- Manage HRA stock data, including recording stock movements throughout the financial year.
- Deliver clear, insightful financial advice to senior stakeholders and present at Departmental Management Teams, Project Delivery Boards, and other service-related meetings.
- Work independently on a wide range of financial issues, identifying and recommending solutions.
- Represent senior finance leadership (Head of Finance and Finance Managers) at meetings when required.
The successful candidate will have advanced IT skills, in particular Excel, extensive experience in financial management and business partnering within local government finance, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. They will be able to work independently and adapt to changing priorities, while demonstrating confidence in communicating and presenting to senior stakeholders.
To be suitable for the role you need to be a qualified accountant or part qualified and actively studying for such a qualification, ideally with some exposure to the Housing Revenue Account.
Enfield offers a hybrid working arrangement. For this role there is an expectation to be in the office on a regular basis to meet business needs.
