We're seeking a dedicated and proactive individual to join our team and lead our efforts in promoting financial well-being and providing solutions to those facing financial hardship.
Key Responsibilities:
- One-on-one support: Conduct in-depth financial assessments with residents, identify areas for improvement, and develop tailored action plans.
- Advocacy and Guidance: Advocate for customers with external agencies and organizations, helping them navigate complex financial systems and access available benefits.
- Financial literacy education: Signpost educational resources to promote responsible budgeting, debt management, and savings strategies.
- Collaboration: Develop positive relationships with key local stakeholders, including community organizations, financial institutions, and service providers..
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience: Previous experience in financial counselling, multi-agency working, benefits advice, or a related field.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of financial concepts, welfare benefits, debt advice, and budgeting techniques.
- Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills, the ability to build trust, and a commitment to customer-centric support.
- Problem Solving: Proven ability to think critically, find creative solutions, and navigate complex financial situations.
- Organization: Ability to manage a diverse caseload, prioritize effectively, and maintain accurate records.

About You
We are looking for a dedicated and proactive individual to join our team and lead our efforts in promoting financial well-being and providing solutions to those facing financial hardship. We are looking for exceptional candidates with a range of skills including:
- Educated to at least A Level/Level 3 Vocational qualification.
- Experience of partnership working with public and voluntary sector agencies.
- An understanding of the issues and experiences of families who are facing financial hardship and struggle to manage their financial circumstances.
- Experience in administrative and office procedures.
- Experience of assessing needs, goal setting and contributing to action plans.
- Experience using ICT to input and retrieve information and able to maintain clear and concise records.
- Good customer care skills.
