Vac Description

Sutton College is looking for a friendly, organised and customer-focused Front of House & Enrolment Assistant to join our team. You will be the first point of contact for learners, visitors and stake holders, providing a welcoming front desk service and supporting the enrolment and admissions process.

This is a varied role combining reception duties with learner enrolment, requiring excellent communication skills, attention to detail and a professional manner.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Is confident dealing with a wide range of people and is committed to promoting equality, diversity and inclusion in all aspects of customer service and learner support.
  • Has good IT skills (e.g. Google Workspace / Microsoft Office / databases)
  • Is well organised with strong attention to detail
  • Can work well under pressure, especially during busy enrolment periods
  • Is reliable, flexible and a good team player
  • Has previous experience in a customer facing role, ideally within education
  • Understands the importance of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults
  • Is able to work one evening per week during term time and a minimum of six Saturdays per annum to cover peak times.

And had the following professional experience:

  • Experience of working in a post-16 educational organisation.
  • Equivalent experience of working in a customer facing role.
  • Experience of handling financial transactions (cash, card)
  • Experience of dealing effectively with a wide range of internal and external customers, with evidence of providing high quality customer service.
