Introduction to the team:

Our Construction Quality and Compliance team plays a critical role in ensuring that new build and refurbishment projects meet L&Q’s exacting standards. We support delivery teams and subcontractors with inspection protocols, smart data systems (e.g. Field View)*, and a structured approach to building compliance and quality assurance.

Overview of the role:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Graduate to join our Quality and Compliance team to train as a Quality Inspection and Test Plan (QITP) Manager. You will spend time on-site learning about quality and compliance and shadowing senior colleagues to learn how to support the delivery of high-quality homes by implementing inspection processes, analysing performance trends, building reports and supporting transition from paper-based to Field View-led inspections.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Supporting site teams with Quality Inspection and Test Plan (QITP) implementation
  • Carrying out quality inspections and audits across live construction sites
  • Monitoring compliance performance data using Field View*
  • Collaborating with site teams and the supply chain to resolve defects, improve consistency, and uphold brand standards
  • Reporting on key quality issues and tracking resolutions across the project lifecycle

From day one, you’ll be engaged in a meaningful and hands-on role with increasing responsibility, supported by experienced mentors and line managers who will help shape your professional development.

Other essential skills and experience include:

  • Ability to multi-task and work to deadlines in a construction environment
  • Confident IT user, including Microsoft Office
  • A willingness to understand and engage in construction inspection processes and the use of digital tools (e.g. NHBC, LABC and Field View, etc)
  • Interest in compliance, regulations, and delivering homes “right first time”

We are looking for individuals who:

  • Are passionate about construction quality and customer satisfaction
  • Have strong attention to detail and an analytical mindset
  • Demonstrate resilience, enthusiasm, and a drive for improvement
  • Communicate confidently and work well in team environments
  • Are flexible in terms of travel to various construction sites in London
  • Must be able to work in the UK
  • Shows an intention to acquire a driving licence before the end of the programme
  • Are willing to occasionally visit sites in the NW

Qualification Requirements

  • Degree in a construction discipline or similar (BSc Project or Construction Management or Building Surveying)

You will have the opportunity to work towards Chartership with the Chartered Institute of Building or similar

What you can expect:

  • Great company benefits
  • Great breadth and variety of experiences through a structured programme with rotation across key business areas.
  • You will have access to outstanding training offered internally.
  • You will be supported throughout the programme by an experienced line manager and mentor.

We look forward to reviewing your application, and hearing about the genuine experiences and skills you could bring to our organisation. L&Q reserve the right to not accept statements that exceed 500 words.
