Groundsperson wanted to join our team at Market Weighton.

You will contribute to the effective delivery of the Council’s grounds maintenance service in accordance with work schedules and standards determined by the Council.

The job entails the use of handheld or large grass cutting equipment to maintain green areas throughout the East Riding of Yorkshire Council and carrying out activities such as grass cutting, strimming, hedge cutting, herbicide application, litter picking, pruning, planting etc.

We seek a person who has basic experience working or volunteering in a ground's maintenance environment, although training will be given where necessary. The ability to listen, solve problems, be organised, work alone or in a team and treat customers with respect is essential for this post.

A full driving license is essential

The role is based at Market Weighton depot but good local knowledge of other areas within the East Riding would be useful.
