This is an exciting opportunity to join the Estate Caretaking Service, which is a key function of our continuing commitment to providing a responsive customer-based service for our residents.

The role is for a Handy Person who will assist in the delivery of our estate services to provide a high standard of maintenance in communal areas, within our blocks, and on our estates.

Your impact in the role:

You will be working as part of a team, but predominantly working alone, assisting in the delivery of our estate services to provide a high standard of minor repairs in communal areas, within our blocks, and on our estates.

You will be carrying out communal repairs that will pre-planned projects involving painting, decorating, grounds work, and general improvement of schemes.

You will also be liaising directly with L&Q staff, residents, and contractors and you must have due regard to health & safety and security issues.

You will be responsible for the vehicle, tools and equipment provided to you

What you'll bring:

Capable of identifying H&S risks and carrying out a variety of communal repair jobs.

Trade skills or DIY or Gardening experience is essential.

Full UK Driving Licence is essential.

A good communicator and willing to learn new skills as the service adapts to the changing needs within the Trust.

Confident working remotely as part of a team therefore you must have good interpersonal skills and be able to arrange work schedules and plan the implementation of work.

Be self-motivated, proactive, and able to organise your time effectively and be aware of safe working practices.

Confident in using basic IT packages

Be committed to providing excellent customer service
