Join Our ECT Pool – One Application, More Opportunities

Each year, our primary schools come together to recruit brilliant new ECTs. By joining our ECT Pool:

  • You complete just one application
  • You choose which Key Stages you’re open to (EYFS, KS1, KS2 – even more than one!)
  • You simply answer three key questions—no long personal statement
  • School leaders can view your application and contact you directly about roles
  • You can explore opportunities without submitting multiple applications

It’s simple, time-saving, and all about helping you find the school that’s right for you.

What Happens Next?

After youre application is reviewed, we’ll invite you to one of our friendly ECT Pool events on:

  • Monday 2nd February 2026
  • Friday 6th February 2026

You’ll meet school leaders, learn more about teaching in Havering, and have a short, supportive interview to join the pool.

From there, your details are shared with schools, and Headteachers will get in touch when suitable roles come up. There’s no obligation—it just opens the door to more opportunities.
