    Your new role

We are seeking an ambitious and inspirational Head of History to lead our History department and drive exceptional outcomes for our students.

You will lead curriculum development, monitor student progress, use data effectively to drive improvement, and create a culture of high expectations where all students can thrive.
You will work closely with senior leaders and colleagues across the Humanities faculty to ensure that History continues to play a central role in our broad and balanced curriculum. Through your leadership, students will develop a strong understanding of the past and the skills needed to become informed, thoughtful and engaged citizens.

You will be an outstanding classroom practitioner with a passion for History and a proven ability to inspire students and colleagues alike.

    You will:

    • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

    • Have a strong track record of delivering excellent outcomes for students
    • Be able to lead, coach and develop colleagues to improve teaching and learning
    • Have experience in curriculum planning and assessment design
    • Be skilled in analysing data and implementing strategies to improve student progress
    • Have high expectations of behaviour, achievement and attendance
    • Be resilient, ambitious and committed to continuous improvement

Whether you are an existing Head of Department or an experienced teacher looking to take the next step in your leadership journey, we would love to hear from you.
