We are seeking an experienced and committed Head of Key Stage (Pastoral Leader) to join Lift Four Dwellings Secondary and play a vital role in supporting the well-being, behaviour and attendance of students across the key stage.

Your new role
As Head of Key Stage (Pastoral Leader), you will be responsible for the welfare and pastoral care of students within your key stage.
You will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to help maintain a disciplined yet caring environment where students feel safe, supported and motivated to succeed.
Key aspects of the role include:
- Leading pastoral support and promoting student wellbeing
- Supporting behaviour management and promoting positive behaviour
- Monitoring attendance and implementing strategies to improve engagement
- Supporting students in vulnerable or at-risk groups
- Working closely with families, staff and external agencies
- Analysing pastoral and behaviour data to identify trends and implement targeted interventions
- Acting as a key point of contact for students, parents and staff within the key stage
- Supporting safeguarding and training as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL)
The role will work closely with Wayne Robinson, Assistant Principal - Behaviour & Culture, who leads on behaviour and pastoral systems across the school.
What you'll need to succeed
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience working within a school or education setting
- Has strong interpersonal skills and can build positive relationships with students, staff and families
- Can effectively support behaviour management and student wellbeing
- Has experience analysing data and using it to inform interventions
- Can remain calm under pressure and de-escalate challenging situations
- Believes passionately that every child can succeed
Experience working with safeguarding, behaviour systems or external agencies would be advantageous.

Salary range
- £31,537 - £33,699 per year
