About the Role

An exciting opportunity to help shape the future of Birchwood Grove Birchwood Grove Community Primary School is looking to appoint an exceptional Head of Operations to join our Senior Leadership Team and play a central role in the continued development of our school.

This is an opportunity for an ambitious, highly organised and strategic operational leader who understands that excellent systems, people, resources and infrastructure create the conditions in which children and staff can thrive.

As Head of Operations, you will work closely with the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team to turn our strategic vision into operational reality. You will provide leadership across finance, HR, estates, administration, compliance, procurement, risk management and business services, ensuring that Birchwood Grove is an efficient, financially sustainable, safe and forward-thinking organisation.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has significant experience of leading operational services and managing people and teams.
• Has strong financial and budget-management experience.
• Can provide confident strategic advice and professional challenge to senior leaders and governors. • Understands HR, health and safety, GDPR, risk management, procurement and compliance.
• Is highly organised, analytical and able to manage competing priorities.
• Can lead change, improve systems and turn ideas into effective practice.
• Builds strong professional relationships and communicates with clarity.
• Is calm, resilient, solution-focused and willing to take accountability.
• Shares our commitment to ensuring that every aspect of school operations ultimately improves outcomes for children.

You will need to be both strategic and practical: someone who can look at the bigger picture while also ensuring that the detail is right. Above all, we are looking for a leader who takes pride in getting things done, solving problems and creating systems that make a genuine difference. Job Details

Salary: NJC Pay Scale Grade 8 Point 24 to Grade 12 Point 40 - £35,412 to £51,356 (final pay subject to experience)

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Pattern: Full time

Location: Birchwood Grove Primary School, Burgess Hill
