Head of Physics
Band: Main Scale 3 to UPS Actual Salary: £37,101 – £51,048
1.00 fte plus TRLR2 (£8610)
We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and inspirational Head of Physics to lead and further develop the school’s progressive Physics department.
This is a key post and the person we are seeking will:
• Work closely with the Leadership Team to drive forward teaching and learning across the department.
• Be proactive, creative and adaptive in bringing the best out of the Physics team.
• Use their love of science, along with excellent coaching and mentoring abilities to collaboratively build a culture of academic excellence in Physics, in which every student believes they can succeed.
• Have the capacity to gain knowledge and understanding of national and regional education issues relating to PhysiAcs.
• Have excellent communication skills.
• Have the ability to organise, lead and motivate other staff.
• Be willing to go the ‘extra mile’ to support school development plans.
