Head of Planning Policy and New Communities

We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking policy planner to lead our Local Plans, Planning Specialists, and Economic Development Teams. This is an exciting leadership role for a development professional with a strong background in policy, either in local government or consultancy.

You will manage a team of up to 12 skilled officers across a range of disciplines including planning policy, urban design, transport policy, and economic development. Your leadership will be key as we progress a number of strategic priorities over the next 12$ú18 months, including the introduction of a Community Infrastructure Levy, delivery of key Development Plan Documents, and a refresh of our Supplementary Planning Documents, including our district-wide Design Code. You will also support our Parishes deliver and refresh their neighbourhood plans.
