Summary
What you'll do
As the Head of Strategic Planning, you will lead NHG's strategic planning agenda, ensuring the organisation's corporate strategy is translated into clear, actionable plans. Reporting to the Strategic Planning and Transformation Director, you will shape how NHG operates today and evolves for the future.
You will oversee enterprise-wide planning, operating model design, and business architecture, ensuring that strategic priorities are aligned with investment decisions and deliver meaningful outcomes for residents.
As a senior leader, you will play a critical role in enabling a customer-centric organisation through clear direction, innovation, and effective governance.
How you'll do it
- Lead the development and delivery of NHG's strategic planning framework and roadmap.
- Translate corporate strategy into actionable, organisation-wide plans and priorities.
- Develop and evolve the enterprise operating model, business capability model, and value streams.
- Provide executive-level advice on strategic investment decisions and transformation priorities.
- Ensure services are designed around customer needs, improving consistency and experience.
- Scan external trends and best practice to inform strategic direction and innovation.
- Embed governance and accountability across transformation and planning activity.

Essential:
Proven experience leading strategic planning and business architecture in a complex organisation.
Strong expertise in operating model design and organisational transformation.
Experience advising executive teams and influencing strategic decision-making.
Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making capability.
Excellent communication and presentation skills at senior level.
Strong leadership skills with experience building and developing high-performing teams.
Desirable:
Professional certification in enterprise/business architecture (e.g. TOGAF, BIZBOK).

Salary range
- £47,369 - £105,839 per year
