
Health and safety Officer SLA and Trainer
We are recruiting a Health and Safety Officer SLA and Trainer at Caerphilly County Borough Council.
Working hours: 37 Hours
Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time, Term Time Only

We have a fantastic opportunity for a competent and qualified Health and Safety Officer/Trainer to join our well-established team.
The successful candidate will work across the Service Level Agreement (SLA) and Training Teams providing school based health and safety advice/support and will deliver health and safety training corporately.
The post holder will be responsible for the preparation and development of policies, procedures, and guidance materials and completing written risk assessments/health and safety inspections.
The successful candidate will deliver accredited and non-accredited courses on a broad range of health and safety topics and create positive health and safety and training interventions, to develop health and safety standards.
For the role, we ask that you have:
- National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH) National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales.
- Knowledge of current health and safety legislation, codes of practice etc.
- Demonstrable experience of working as a Health and Safety Officer.
- A Full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business / work purposes to travel throughout the borough to visit various schools/premises covered by the SLA, attend meetings etc.
