Specialist Teaching Assistant – Inclusion Centre (SEND/EHCP Focus)
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Specialist Teaching Assistant to join our Inclusion team. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting students predominantly with EHCPs and a range of SEND needs across all year groups, helping them thrive both academically and personally.
You will play a key role in planning and delivering targeted interventions based on EHCP outcomes, working closely with staff to ensure provision is tailored, effective and engaging.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver structured interventions aligned with EHCPs
- Provide targeted support for identified students within the Inclusion Centre
- Monitor, adapt and evaluate intervention impact
Core Intervention Areas
- Handwriting
- Reading
- Social skills
- Read Write Inc / phonics
- Speech and language interventions
- IDL (International Dyslexia Learning Programme)
Additional Responsibilities (Experience Dependent)
- Foundational knowledge (e.g. telling the time, multiplication, division)
- Pre-teaching and post-teaching sessions in literacy and numeracy
Life Skills Provision
- Road safety
- Managing money and understanding bills
- Shopping on a budget
- Letter writing
Other Intervention Opportunities
- Touch typing
- Sensory circuits
- Fine motor skills development
About You
- Passionate about supporting students with SEND
- Experienced (or highly interested) in intervention delivery
- Patient, adaptable and committed to inclusive practice
- Able to build positive relationships with students and staff
