Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

36 hours per week / 46 weeks per year

Pay Band H / SCP 23 – 25 / £33,366 - £35,235 pro rata per annum

plus SEN Allowance £1,491 pro rata per annum

[Actual salary £29,516 – £31,169 per annum plus SEN £1,319 per annum]

Start date: 01 September 2025 / Fixed term post for 12 months

The Governors seek to appoint an outstanding, motivated and committed Higher Level Teaching Assistant.

The successful candidate will:

• Be a positive and proactive member of the staff team
• Have good communication skills with well-developed interpersonal skills
• Have good organisational skills
• Have an ability to deliver PPA cover across a range of classes in school
• Have an ability to contribute to lesson planning, evaluating and monitoring pupil responses, if required
• Support the delivery of agreed learning and pastoral activities
• Become an integral member of the school safeguarding team and support the school Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) with all aspects of safeguarding in school
• Work closely with children and families to support pupil attendance and promote stakeholder wellbeing across school
