Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA), Grade F – term time only
TA4: 5.5 hours per week. Tuesdays, 8.45am-3.30pm
including a 15-minute unpaid break in the morning and a 1-hour unpaid lunchbreak


The Governors of Holy Family Primary School Southport, are excited to advertise the position of Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA - Level 4) from September 2025. This job contract is fixed term for 1 academic year in the first instance.

The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers to support teaching and learning, cover classes, and contribute to the spiritual and academic development of our pupils.


We are looking for someone who:
• Holds HLTA status or an equivalent qualification
• Has experience of working across primary age groups
• Can confidently deliver lessons to whole classes, following teacher plans
• Is committed to nurturing the potential of every child
• Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Supports the Catholic ethos of the school and contributes to its wider mission statement
