    Job introduction

    We are looking for a committed, enthusiastic Higher Level Teacher Assistant to join our team. This post is ideal for an experienced Teacher Assistant or HLTA who would like a new challenge. You will be expected to cover classes across all phases. We welcome visits. St Luke’s offers a friendly working environment and a happy team.

    Paid weeks per year: 52 (inclusive of holiday entitlement)

    Start date: January 2026

    About the role

    The Head Teacher and Governing Body are looking to appoint flexible, reliable, enthusiastic and hardworking people. HLTAs will have some whole class responsibilities in the absence of class teachers, delivering lessons to classes as part of planning, preparation and assessment time (PPA), planned absences, or as sickness cover for teachers. At other times, HLTAs will provide learning support for individuals and groups of children, as necessary, under the direction of class teachers, Phase Leaders or members of the Senior Leadership Team.
