The Cockpit Theatre also forms part of the Group.

With an annual turnover of over £50m, we are one of the top 20 largest college groups in the UK. We offer education and training in almost all vocational areas at a variety of levels for a wide range of learners of all ages and starting points.

Our mission is to provide all our learners with the very best knowledge and to break down any barriers to learning. We pride ourselves on enabling our learners to meet their individual needs and aspirations and we deliver a learning experience that is unique, enjoyable and rewarding.

About the role

We are seeking to appoint a committed and suitably qualified Hourly Paid Lecturer to tutor and teach groups of young people with learning disabilities and SEND on our highly successful supported internship programmes. Based primarily on the host business premises, you will work closely with our partners to deliver an innovative and ambitious curriculum that will enable interns to achieve their ambition of gaining substantial and sustainable paid employment.

To be successful in this role, you will have experience of delivering a structured educational programme to students on an employability focussed programme. You will have the ability to work flexibly as part of a multi-agency team to ensure high levels of responsiveness to students’ needs, and the ability to offer stimulating, stretching and individualised teaching to a consistently high standard. You will be able to deliver accredited learning, including work based learning, and meet awarding body and internal moderation requirements. You will have excellent communication, and organisational skills, and a positive approach to problem solving and innovation.
