
Housekeeper (Linden House Children's Home)
We are looking for a caring, reliable and enthusiastic Housekeeper to join our friendly team and help create a warm, welcoming and homely environment for children and young people.
Would you like to play an important role in supporting children and young people by helping to maintain a safe, clean and comfortable home? Do you take pride in creating welcoming spaces and ensuring high standards of cleanliness and organisation?
You will be based in a children's residential home in Swadlincote, supporting up to four children and young people. The home works in partnership with children, their families, carers and professionals to provide high-quality care and support.
As Housekeeper, you will be responsible for the day-to-day domestic duties within the home, ensuring that the environment is maintained to a high standard. Your duties will include:
- Planning, buying, preparing and cooking nutritious meals for children and young people.
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the home, including bedrooms, bathrooms, communal areas and kitchen facilities.
- Undertaking laundry duties, including washing, drying, ironing and storing clothing, bedding and towels.
- Managing household stocks and supplies, reporting shortages and ensuring appropriate levels of cleaning and household products are maintained.
- Adhering to food hygiene, health and safety, infection control and safeguarding procedures at all times.
The contracted hours for this post are 20 hours per week, worked flexibly across five days, including weekends if required/preferred.

Salary range
- £14,061.60 - £14,283.84 per year
