Dartford Borough Council have over 4000 social homes throughout the local area. This new role has been created to support the Housing Compliance team.
We are seeking a highly organised and focused Housing Compliance Administrator to join our team. This role is essential in supporting the delivery of statutory compliance across our housing stock, ensuring accurate record-keeping and timely reporting for key safety areas such as gas, electrical, fire, water hygiene and lifts. You will work closely with contractors, internal teams, and residents to maintain compliance data, schedule inspections, and assist in meeting regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update compliance records for housing assets, including gas safety, electrical checks, fire risk assessments, and water hygiene.
- Schedule and monitor compliance inspections and remedial works.
- Ensure accurate data entry into compliance systems and produce regular reports for management.
- Liaise with contractors and internal teams to ensure timely completion of compliance activities.
- Support the implementation of new compliance legislation and best practice.
- Respond to resident queries relating to compliance works in a professional and timely manner.
About You
- Strong administrative and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and data management systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of housing compliance requirements and health & safety legislation is desirable.
- Previous experience in a housing or compliance-related role is an advantage.
- Experience with housing management systems is an advantage.
