At Woking we are transforming and improving our services and are recruiting for a new role within the Housing Asset Management Department of Housing Contracts and Compliance Manager covering Health and Safety workstreams.

This role will be critical in delivering high quality contract management to mitigate risk to the Council, Council residents and members of the public by ensuring the effective delivery of all Housing Health and Safety related Contracts and Polices working in conjunction with the associated Regulatory Framework and Consumer Standards.

These contract areas include;

  • Fire Risk Assessment and Fire Door Inspections
  • Asbestos
  • Damp and Mould
  • Water Hygiene
  • Fall Arrest Systems
  • Communal TV Aerials
  • PAT Testing
  • Fire Alarm Servicing
  • Emergency Lighting

We are seeking a candidate who has expert knowledge and experience of contract management, housing compliance and health & safety. You will also be able to manage data with a keen eye for detail and accuracy and be able to manage high value budgets.

This is an exciting opportunity to directly shape and improve services in this area managing a small team and a group of contractors to develop efficient processes leading to strong performance.

DBS Check

Woking Borough Council takes a robust approach to thoroughly checking anyone who has applied to work with vulnerable groups including children.

As this job involves contact with vulnerable groups, successful applicants will be required to obtain a Disclosure Certificate from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). Assistance will be given by the Council and further details can be found in the job pack.

English Language Requirement
