Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council is looking for a dynamic and forward-thinking Housing Development Team Leader to help shape the future of housing in our borough.This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a dedicated team and play a pivotal role in delivering our ambitious Affordable Housing Programme.

In this leadership role, you’ll be responsible for driving the council’s delivery of affordable homes—whether through direct development, strategic acquisitions, or working in partnership with registered providers and developers.

You’ll lead the Housing Development team to identify opportunities, manage a robust delivery pipeline, and ensure projects align with our strategic priorities. You will be involved in managing a capital and revenue budget of around £20M.

You will have a full UK driving licence and access to a car.
