    Fixed Term Contract to December 2026

    Starting salary £27,544 with progression to £29,383 through annual increments subject to satisfactory service

    37 hours per week (hybrid working)



    We have an exciting opportunity for a Housing Estate Services Support Officer to join our team.

    The focus of this role will be the management of administration tasks, taking customer calls and writing letters and emails within the office. You will be assisting the Housing Estates Services Manager and Neighbourhood team with onsite inspections and contract management across Welwyn and Hatfield.

    You will be a motivated individual, customer focused and proactive. You will provide a high-quality administration service to support the delivery of the neighbourhood and estate management functions across the borough.

    We are looking for someone who understands what great customer service involves and a commitment to delivering outstanding results. You will be able to work collaboratively and build successful working relationships with key stakeholders, partners and customers.

    We are looking for someone with experience of working in the housing sector, helpdesk environment or a similar customer facing role with strong customer care skills. You will have delivered a high standard of customer service and demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills. Prioritise workload to meet deadlines but flexible enough to meet the needs of the business is essential. You will have good IT skills and have experience of raising and processing orders.

    The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential in this post.

    A full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle.

    You will be required to attend the office four days a week, with one day working at home, depending on service needs.
