As our Housing Asset Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of driving investment, innovation, and improvement across the Council’s housing stock and assets within the Housing Revenue Account (HRA).
This is your opportunity to lead a talented Investment team, champion the Council’s social housing decarbonisation agenda, and ensure our homes meet the highest standards of energy efficiency, safety, and quality. From overseeing procurement and managing contracts to shaping long-term strategies and delivering customer-centric services, your leadership will directly influence the future of housing in our communities.
What you will do:
- Ensuring our homes meet Decent Homes Standards through proactive data led Capital Investment Programmes
- Oversee Aids and Adaptations helping tenants to stay in their homes for longer
- Supporting the development and delivery of the Council’s decarbonisation programme
- Managing energy efficiency data and ensuring compliance with consumer standards
- Leading and developing the Investment team to meet performance targets and KPIs
- Overseeing procurement and contract management in line with legislation and Council policies
- Ensuring health and safety standards are met across all partnering relationships and housing projects
What you’ll bring:
- Proven experience managing asset investment and contract management in a complex, diverse environment—ideally within the housing sector
- A degree or equivalent qualification in a building or construction-related discipline
- A passion for sustainability, innovation, and delivering value for money
- The ability to lead teams, manage risk, and contribute to strategic planning at a corporate level
