We are looking for a highly motivated team player to join our Housing Options Team.
The Housing Options Team areresponsible for preventing and relieving homelessness under the Homelessness Reduction Action 2017 and as well as managing the Council’s Housing Register.
Reporting to the Housing Options Manager you will carry out assessments of homeless applications to determine what statutory duties are owed to customers. You will then help customers either retain their existing accommodation or help them secure alternative accommodation.
You will have your own caseload and participate in the team’s duty rota.
The role requires excellent communication and negotiation skills with a wide range of people and organisations.
Your experience of working in a challenging front line homelessness or similar service will help you to remain calm under pressure while delivering the highest levels of customer service.
You will have a good understanding of the homelessness legislation and state benefits as well as having excellent IT skills and the ability to keep accurate records and meet deadlines.

The role will be a mixture of Office and Home Working (Hybrid) and the post holder will have a valid driving licence and a vehicle available for work purposes.

Salary range
- £37,039 - £39,794 per year
