Career Grade 8–6
Full Time – 37 Hours per week
£27,254 - £37,280 per annum
Indefinite Contract
We are offering an exciting internal opportunity for a colleague to join the Housing Services team as a Housing Options Officer.
The Role
This post is central to our work in preventing homelessness and supporting residents to access appropriate housing. You’ll provide tailored advice, carry out assessments, and work closely with landlords, partners, and other colleagues to deliver effective housing solutions.
Key aspects include:
- Offering accurate housing advice in line with legislation and council policy.
- Managing a varied caseload and maintaining high-quality case records.
- Taking homelessness applications and making timely, lawful decisions.
- Contributing to service improvements and team objectives.
This is a primarily office-based role at Muriel Matters House, with the opportunity to work from home up to one day a week following successful completion of probation.
About You
We are looking for a colleague with:
- Experience in a housing-related support or advice role.
- Knowledge of housing and homelessness legislation.
- Strong communication, IT, and case management skills.
- The ability to work flexibly in a busy team environment.
