Castle Point Borough Council is seeking to appoint two dedicated and compassionate Housing Registration Officers to deliver a resident focussed, data led, performance driven service.
To work effectively as part of a small team responsible for maintaining the Council’s Housing Register, including comprehensive and accurate assessments of applicants’ circumstances, ensuring information provided is verified, keeping records up to date and carrying out periodic reviews to maintain up to date details
Support the Senior Housing Registration Officer in the planned delivery of services to adapt to changing community and customer needs and support monitoring service outcomes, ensuring effective delivery of personal objectives and the continuous improvement in service.
Key Skills and abilities
Educated to a good general educational standard, with the necessary operational experience within a team environment.
Ability to problem solve and understand customer needs, some who may be facing stressful and difficult situations
Ability to effectively within a team of officers providing critical housing support and advice in relation to the Councils approved registration process
Excellent customer care skills with the necessary interpersonal and written communication skills to deliver concise and clear information to clients and all stakeholder
Excellent IT skills
Ability to apply new policy and national regulatory requirements in an efficient and effective manner keeping systems processes and procedures up to date
Ability to manage challenging customer situations and stressful situations.
