Make a Difference in Lancaster
Join us as a Housing Service Support Officer and play a vital role in supporting efficient tenancy administration and financial management within Lancaster’s Council Housing service. Your work will help ensure accurate tenancy management monitoring, smooth processes, and excellent customer service for tenants and residents, directly contributing to the wellbeing of our community.

What You’ll Be Doing
You will manage tenancy administration tasks such as setting up new tenant accounts, processing tenancy changes and mutual exchanges. You’ll also oversee financial amendments related to rent accounts, monitor budgets, prepare financial documents, and manage purchase orders and payments. Additionally, you’ll support service charge calculations by monitoring council tax and energy usage, respond to enquiries, and provide essential administrative support to the housing team.

You’ll Fit Right In If…
You have strong communication skills and a commitment to delivering quality customer care. You work well under pressure, handle challenging situations with professionalism, and pay close attention to detail. GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent) are essential, and experience in a busy, customer-focused environment is desirable. You’ll thrive here if you share our values of Working Together, Ambition, Pride, and Ownership, helping us build a stronger, safer Lancaster.
