Housing Team Manager

Lead and inspire housing services that make a difference for 14,000 tenants across Croydon.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Housing Team Managers to lead a team of Housing Officers delivering tenancy management services across the borough. This role at the heart of Croydon’s Housing Management service, supporting strong communities, safeguarding residents, and ensuring high standards of service.

About the role

  • Lead and manage a team of Housing Officers to deliver high-quality tenancy and estate management.
  • Provide guidance on complex tenancy issues, breaches, and enforcement cases.
  • Monitor performance, set clear priorities, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Manage resources, budgets, and savings targets effectively.
  • Work closely with residents, councillors, contractors, and partner agencies.

About you

  • Strong knowledge of housing legislation, regulatory standards, safeguarding, and enforcement.
  • Proven experience of leading and motivating high-performing, customer-focused teams.
  • Skilled in handling complex tenancy management cases with confidence and professionalism.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and report-writing skills.
  • Strong track record of service planning, policy development, and delivering improvements.
