We are looking for a forward-thinking, experienced, HR professional to join our expanding Human Resources team. As an HR Business Partner you will provide expert, customer-focused HR advice across the organisation, supporting a wide range of employee relations matters, contributing to organisational change, and delivering people management solutions that support high-quality services to our communities.

This is a varied role where you will provide comprehensive support across all aspects of the employee life cycle. You will bring proven experience in a generalist HR role, have the confidence to advise managers on a broad range of people management issues and the ability to undertake all associated processes. You will be skilled at developing practical, considered solutions, alongside effectively managing a diverse and often complex employee relations caseload. You will need to be pro-active, adaptable, and able to work both on your initiative and as part of the HR and wider council teams. Above all, you will be able to build strong, credible relationships with stakeholders at all levels to help shape and deliver HR policies, practices and processes that support services and the achievement of council objectives.

Why join us?
At Folkestone & Hythe District Council, we’re committed to creating a positive and inclusive working environment where our people can thrive. • A flexible and hybrid working culture
• Generous annual leave
• Local Government Pension Scheme
• Health & wellbeing initiatives, including an Employee Assistance Programme
• Reimbursement of professional membership subscriptions
