36 hours per week (Monday to Friday) x 39 weeks per year

Grade: GLWC Scale 5 Points 12– 15 £32,535 - £33,987 (Full time salary)

Pro rata salary £28,202 - £29,462 (includes holiday pay)

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Emerson Park Academy for a highly motivated, efficient and reliable individual to join our Inclusion Faculty, assisting the provision for pupils with additional needs and managing our intervention room (iClass).

The key duties of this role are:

• Smooth running of our intervention room on a daily basis.
• Provide support to pupils to develop their academic attainment and/or their emotional and behaviour needs
• Coordinate work programmes for individuals/groups and also lead on some targeted interventions
• Supervise pupils at breaks and lunchtimes and take duties as required

The Inclusion Faculty develops provision of high-quality education for all pupils, which enables them to reach or exceed their potential, through developing skills and strategies to reduce barriers to learning. We believe in achievement for all children and aim to foster a culture of life-long learning and independent living skills by providing ambitious pastoral support.

• Be committed to achieving the best outcomes for all pupils whilst also being patient and empathetic
• Be aware of confidentiality guidelines and safeguarding procedures
• Have the ability to communicate with children, parents/carers, and staff clearly and accurately
• Have knowledge and understanding of SEND including relevant policies and documentation
• Have experience of working in a team including strong interpersonal skills
• Have effective oral and written communication skills with a good standard of English
• Have good IT skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office. A working knowledge of SIMS, or equivalent school management system would be advantageous
