    Are you the Teacher we are looking for?

    We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Teacher to lead our Inclusive Intervention Space. This is a unique opportunity to make a real difference by supporting children who need additional help to access learning and thrive in school. You will design and deliver tailored interventions, working closely with class teachers, support staff, and families to ensure every child feels included and valued.

    We are a friendly one-form entry school with a strong belief in equalities and equity, ensuring that every child and family gets what they need to thrive. Our inclusive ethos underpins everything we do, and we are committed to creating a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for all.

    Paid weeks per year: 52

    Fixed term: Ideally after Feb ½ term – starting 23 February – fixed for 1 year.

    Start date: February 2026

    About the role

    Key Responsibilities

    • Plan and deliver high-quality interventions for pupils with additional needs, including SEND, SEMH, and those requiring short-term support.
    • Create a welcoming, safe, and inclusive environment where children feel respected and supported.
    • Work collaboratively with class teachers to identify pupils who would benefit from intervention and track progress.
    • Develop personalised strategies to help pupils reintegrate successfully into the classroom.
    • Liaise with families and external agencies to ensure holistic support for pupils.
    • Maintain accurate records of interventions and outcomes.
    • Contribute to whole-school approaches to inclusion and wellbeing.

    Job-Related Education, Qualifications and Knowledge

    • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and registered with the DfE.
    • Experience of working successfully with disengaged pupils in mainstream or alternative settings.
    • Up-to-date subject knowledge and commitment to ongoing professional development.

    Experience

    • Experience of teaching across the primary age range.
    • Experience of planning for and teaching pupils of all abilities and aptitudes.

    Skills and Abilities

    • Ability to think creatively to overcome barriers to learning.
    • Skilled in using assessment to identify next steps in children’s learning.
    • Empathetic and able to view students holistically.
    • Flexible and effective team player in a small environment.
    • Excellent communication skills and ability to maintain a sense of humour and perspective.
    • High standards and ability to model these to staff and students.
    • Willingness to learn and adapt to a changing environment.
    • Solution-focused, calm, and objective when facing challenges.
    • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage workload effectively.
    • Good ICT skills.
