We are recruiting an Income Collection and Support Assistant at Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Working hours: 37 hours
Contract Type: Permanent
Location: Working hours can be split between home and office depending on specific task requirements.
Team: Rents Team

Join our team as an Income Collection & Support Assistant, handling rent arrears for lower-level and former tenants in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

In addition to maintaining and collecting outstanding rent payments, you will support contract holders in fulfilling their obligations by offering guidance and assistance. It is essential to ensure that those experiencing financial challenges are informed of all available support options.

We are looking for individuals who have excellent communication skills, show initiative, demonstrate empathy towards contract holders, and can work well both independently and as part of a team.

For the role, we ask that you have:

  • A level 2 qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales.
  • Working knowledge of welfare benefits.
  • Experience of dealing with conflict or challenging situations.
  • A full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business / work purposes to travel throughout the borough to visit tenants, attend meetings.
