Income Recovery Officer

Grade 9 - £25,989 - £28,598 per annum

Full Time - 37 hours per week

Indefinite Contract

Are you passionate about supporting residents, reducing arrears, and helping people stay and succeed in their accommodation?

We are excited to announce a brand new opportunity to join our Housing team at Hastings Borough Council as an Income Recovery Officer.

In this newly created role, you’ll play a vital part in helping residents in our accommodation manage their rent and related payments. Your focus will be on providing excellent customer service while recovering rent, service charges, and other housing-related debts such as storage, removals, and homelessness prevention loans.

You’ll regularly monitor rent accounts, take appropriate action in line with council policies, and work closely with residents, internal teams, and partners such as the Housing Benefit team and other support services.

We’re looking for someone with experience in recovering income, including rental income and arrears, and who is committed to delivering a customer-focused service.

The role offers flexibility for hybrid working, however it will be primarily office-based.
