You will have a degree/HND in an IT related subject and /or can demonstrate significant knowledge and experience in the relevant work areas.Responsibilities
You will work as part of the IT services team to lead on the successful delivery of projects. Design, build, implement and maintain the software applications supporting the business of the Council. You will play a key role in the implementation, support and integrations to, third party supplied software applications. You will act as technical lead for Council software and system development, carrying out integrations, maintenance, support, upgrades, testing, fault diagnosis and repair to ensure effective service delivery.The Individual
You will have proven record of successful development and implementation of IT software solutions, record of successful support of IT software solutions across a variety of modern platforms and technologies. You will have significant knowledge of PHP, JavaScript, CSS and HTML with experience of relational databases. You will have experience in troubleshooting complex support issues. Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify opportunities to improve efficiency and performance. Experience of Web Services and Application Programming Interfaces (API). You will have working knowledge of Microsoft packages including Office 365, SharePoint, Teams, Excel, Word. Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to develop solutions to complex problems and willingness to disseminate information effectively. You will have excellent organisational skills with the ability to work to deadlines and customer liaison skills. You will have a willingness for out of hours work and to work on wider Council priorities. A satisfactory Level 1 Disclosure Scotland check is required.Salary range
- £39,859 - £54,598 per year
