    About the role:

    As the IT Service Management Lead, you will:

    • Develop and implement the council’s IT Service Management (ITSM) strategy, driving improvements across Incident, Change, Problem, Asset, Configuration, and Knowledge Management.
    • Lead a high-performing team dedicated to continuous improvement and exceptional service delivery.
    • Manage an annual ITSM budget of approximately £500,000, optimising resource allocation and cost management.
    • Direct the selection and optimisation of ITSM tools and platforms, aligning closely with best practices and organisational needs.
    • Chair the Change Advisory Board, ensuring robust governance and effective risk management for all IT changes.

    About you:

    You will have:

    • Extensive leadership experience in IT Service Management, with deep knowledge of ITIL frameworks and processes.
    • Proven track record in implementing and optimising ITSM strategies and tools.
    • Strong capabilities in managing complex changes, budgets, and governance frameworks.
    • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and guide at a senior level.
    • A passion for continuous improvement and fostering an environment of innovation and excellence.
