About the Role
A vacancy has arisen for a proactive and dedicated Janitorial Cleaner to join our dynamic Maintenance Delivery team, based at our Asset Management hub in Wallasey.
This position will be a member of the rotating split day shift team. Main duties include providing a cleaning service for the upkeep, safe and efficient function of the building(s), facilities and their occupants. You’ll be responsible for carrying out planned cleaning schedules and responding promptly and safely to any emergency or reactive cleaning tasks - ensuring everything is completed within set timeframes across the Merseytravel estate. While your main focus will be the Mersey Tunnels estate, you may also be called upon to support the wider estate and popular visitor attractions when needed.
You’ll work closely with a supportive Team Leader, under the guidance of our Principal Officer – Works Delivery, as part of a team that values excellence, reliability, and pride in every task.
About the person
We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated individual with experience of working in a customer centred role and an ability to demonstrate good interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent time management skills and be able to work to agreed schedules. It is essential that the candidate can undertake the physical activities associated with the role.
It would be desirable if the candidate also had experience within the cleaning industry, preferably in an office or commercial-based environment

Salary range
- £23,935 - £24,436 per year
