As a Derbyshire Constabulary police cadet, you’ll be helping your community.You’ll take part in weekly cadet meetings, social action projects and local initiatives aimed at raising the profile of young people in the county and giving you a real insight into policing.We have current cadet opportunities in Chesterfield if you are aged between 10-13 years old.
We offer a fantastic opportunity for like-minded young people to:
- Develop valuable life skills
- Meet new friends
- Gather at social events
- Learn about British policing
- Take part in sporting activities
As part of the process you will be expected to attend an assessment centre for Junior Cadets:
Thursday 11th June
- Chesterfield Juniors - Chesterfield Fire Station - 4pm - 5pm & 5.30pm - 6.30pm

You will need to between the ages of 10 - 13 years old(Academic years 6 to 8 as of September 2026).
