
Knowledge Transfer Manager (Beef & Lamb)
Job summary
We are looking for a Knowledge Transfer Manager to join our Beef & Lamb Engagement team, supporting the delivery of technical knowledge and insight to levy payers across the sector. This is a national role and therefore flexibility to travel is essential along with a full UK driving licence. Although this is a full-time position, we would be open to considering a job share for the right candidate.
In this role, you will play a key part in translating research and best practice into practical, accessible information that supports informed decision making and drives on-farm improvement. Working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, you will help deliver high-quality knowledge transfer activities aligned to the sector business plan.
This is a varied and collaborative role, ideal for someone with strong livestock knowledge, excellent communication skills and a passion for driving impact through knowledge exchange.

We are the independent, impartial public body that unlocks success in British agriculture. Funded by a levy from over 100,000 British producers in the beef, lamb, pork, dairy and cereals sectors, we support and champion farmers, growers and processors, often where no one else can or will.
We share the expert, evidence-based research and reports that inform on-farm decision making. We promote British produce to the UK public through domestic marketing campaigns, and we identify and open new global export opportunities to help farm businesses grow.
We help levy payers learn more, sell more and export more to remain sustainable and profitable. Together, we deliver the insights, the influence and the impact that farmers need.
Job description
- Leading the development and delivery of knowledge transfer (KT) campaigns, materials and resources in line with sector priorities
- Translating research and technical outputs into practical, user-focused content for levy payers
- Supporting the link between research, technical and engagement activities to maximise impact
- Working closely with Regional Engagement Managers and colleagues to develop targeted messaging and solutions
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal teams, industry stakeholders and external partners
- Providing reporting and insight on knowledge transfer activity, outcomes and impact
- Supporting events, shows and wider engagement activity
Person specification
- Strong understanding of the beef and lamb sector, alongside experience of knowledge transfer, project delivery or technical communication
- A proactive mindset and an interest in behaviour change approaches or innovation in knowledge transfer would be an advantage
- Experience of planning and delivering projects within agreed timeframes and budgets
- A track record of delivering effective knowledge transfer or engagement activity
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to build credible relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
- A collaborative approach and the ability to work across teams, with good organisational skills and attention to detail
