    What You’ll Be Doing

    Join Camden's dynamic Legal Services team, where you’ll play a critical role in breaking down barriers while embracing a risk-aware approach. You'll engage with senior officers and Members to offer high-quality legal services, with a focus on social justice. Collaborate closely with various service directorates to ensure efficient delivery of Council priorities, all while managing a personal caseload that includes high-profile and complex cases. Become a trusted advisor, advocate, and problem solver as you contribute to Camden's vision of innovative, responsive legal solutions.

    We are particularly seeking lawyers with knowledge in the following areas:-

    1. Homelessness/Part 7 Housing Act;

    2. Building Safety Act/Fire Safety Act and other related legislation and requirements in relation to local authority building safety and regulatory compliance;

    We’re looking for a qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives able to practice in England. You should possess a robust understanding of local government law and have hands-on experience in preparing cases and drafting legal documents. Your professional confidence will shine through as you lead on challenging cases and provide high-level advice. With excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit, you’re ready to engage with our clients and stakeholders. Your proactive nature and creative mindset will help shape the future of legal services in Camden.
