Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time, 35 hours

Salary: Starting from £66,000 per annum (London weighted salary) or £58,000 per annum (Regional salary), dependant on experience

Grade: 11

Reporting Office: London, Stratford or Manchester, Trafford

Persona: Agile Worker: 20% - 40% of contractual hours to be worked from reporting office/working location (hybrid working)

We have recently established a new Business Design and Architecture team at L&Q, providing critical support and expertise to our multi year, multi million pound investment in transforming L&Q. Our transformation and change portfolio spans full operating model change across the Group. It’s service design led, and will deliver transformation to ways of working, process, team structures, systems, data and reporting, enabling organisational performance, efficiency and agility, and setting L&Q up well for the future.

A key part of our new Business Design and Architecture team is our Business Analysis practice. We are looking for a new Lead Business Analyst to join our 20+ strong team of Analysts, providing people leadership and management of the practice, working with a small number of other Lead Business Analysts. Together these Lead Business Analysts are creating a strong, high performing practice, developing common approaches, methods and ways of working.

Your impact in the role:

People Management and Leadership

  • Leading a cohort of Business Analysts, and supporting them to be the best they can be. Building the team, managing performance, overseeing delivery, and developing the team to grow their experience, develop their skills and careers.

Business Analysis Practice

  • Working with other Lead Business Analysts to develop a strong, high performing practice, creating consistent ways of working, methodologies and delivery approaches.

Assessing Change Demand and Building Solutions

  • Working to assess new, often regulatory or compliance driven change demand, and identifying solutions that align with our target operating model direction of travel.

Designing, assuring and making Transformation and Change happen

  • Designing solutions to enable delivery of target outcomes and deliverables. Working with Business Architects, Service Designers, Programme and Project Managers, Technology and Data experts, and Programme and Project Sponsors, to design, assure and deliver aspects of our Transformation and Change portfolio.

What you'll bring:

  • Deep experience of Business Analysis practice development and deployment.
  • People Leadership, Management and Team development experience.
  • Strong communication and engagement skills, able to make the complex simple.
  • Experience of working in a highly regulated sector such as housing (Ideal but not essential).
