Lift Greenwood Academy is seeking an outstanding and inspiring Lead Practitioner in Mathematics to play a central role in driving excellence in teaching and learning across the Maths department and wider school.
Mathematics is a core subject at Lift Greenwood, taught to all students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with a clear focus on developing strong foundations in numeracy, mathematical reasoning, and problem-solving. This role offers a genuine opportunity to influence curriculum, pedagogy, and classroom practice at scale, supporting colleagues in delivering consistently high-quality Maths education for all learners.

Your new role
As Lead Practitioner in Mathematics, you will:
- Model consistently excellent classroom practice in Mathematics
- Support the development of a well-sequenced and ambitious Maths curriculum across KS3 and KS4
- Coach and support colleagues to strengthen pedagogy and improve student outcomes
- Work closely with the Maths leadership team and senior leaders to embed best practice
- Contribute to whole-school teaching and learning priorities
- This role does not involve formal line management but carries significant instructional leadership influence across the department and wider school.

You will be passionate about mathematics education and committed to high-quality teaching and learning.
You will have a strong understanding of effective Maths pedagogy and the credibility to support, challenge and develop colleagues.
