We are seeking to appoint an outstanding and creative Lead SEND Practitioner to work within our dynamic Additional Educational Needs faculty. The post would be suitable for an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant who is seeking to develop their leadership skills and expertise in SEND education. Experience of planning and delivering interventions for Learning and Cognition needs, Physical and Sensory Needs and /or Communication and Interaction would be distinctly advantageous.

This is an excellent career opportunity for a colleague who is passionate about the entitlement of young people to access an inclusive education and pathway to adulthood. You will be part of a team leading on SEND provision across the secondary school, working under dynamic and supportive management to do so. Alongside this, you will manage an experienced team as part of the school’s commitment to staff development. The team is committed to build on its history of success, to continue to raise attainment and enhance provision.

We are looking for an individual who:

  • Has a calm, professional and approachable manner to support the progress of SEND students acros Key Stages
  • Will help dynamically lead an inspiring, innovative and caring team of HLTAs and LSAs
  • Is proactive and has exceptional classroom skills
